This Wassily Armchair is a faithful reproduction of the first armchair made of steel tube. To design it was Marcel Breuer, a student of the Bauhaus, who in 1925 bought his first Adler bicycle and was able to notice the lightness and high resistance of his tube initially used aluminium, then switched to steel and brought the prototype of one of his chairs to the painter Wassily Kandinsky, who praised it and adopted it in his house. Since then, the Wassily Armchair, so named in homage to Kandinsky, has always remained in production: the version produced by Nue Modern has the frame in tubular steel polished chrome. In the Wassily Armchair the seat, the two pieces of the backrest and the four armrests are all in reinforced full-grain leather.

    • Straps in Aniline, waxed leather or cowhide.
    • Polished # 304-grade stainless steel frame with a chrome finish or in gun black.
